Coach Scott Cawker's Junior Legionaires came back from five-run deficit to down Gatineau 9-6 for the Baseball Canada 21U Championship.

GAME RECAP

Gatineau lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat to the Legionaires on Sunday. The game was tied at five with Baseball Oshawa Legionaires batting in the top of the fifth when Quin McLane singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.
Gatineau collected six hits and the Legionaires had 19 in the high-scoring affair.
Gatineau got things started in the first inning. Alexis Cadieux's sac fly scored one run for Gatineau.
After the Legionaires scored one run in the top of the seventh, Gatineau answered with one of their own. The Legionaires scored when McLane singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Gatineau then answered when an error scored one run for Gatineau.
Gatineau scored four runs in the second inning. Antoine Gervais, Félix Robertson, and Cadieux each had RBIs in the big inning.
The Legionaires scored four runs in the fourth inning. Braden Halford, McLane, and Evan Magill all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Aaron Sprague earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for the Legionaires. He surrendered one run on one hit over three innings.
Jonathan Landry took the loss for Gatineau. He surrendered two runs on three hits over one inning, walking one.
Jason Crouse started the game for the Legionaires. He lasted four innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out one and walking one. Étienne Le Roy-Audy started the game for Gatineau. He allowed nine hits and four runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one
Robertson led Gatineau with two hits in four at bats.
the Legionaires scattered 19 hits in the game. Anthony Vavoroutsos, Halford, McLane, Ryan Santos, Magill, Griffin Oliver, and Connor May all managed multiple hits for the Legionaires.
