SELECT BASEBALL WILL RETURN IN 2019

The LEGIONAIRES Select Program is an extension of Baseball Oshawa’s House League. This is a level between House League and Rep.  Select players must be registered officially with the Baseball Oshawa House League and will maintain a primary commitment to their House League teams during the season while gaining additional experience and competitive play through their Select Team’s activities.   Baseball Oshawa select baseball programs offer skilled House League players the additional opportunity to participate in competitive baseball games and Select Ontario Baseball Association (SOBA) tournament games during the season as the Oshawa Legionaires SELECTS.

 

The Select team rosters are formed after two scheduled tryouts, which will be announced and take place. The tryouts themselves are open to all Baseball Oshawa registered House League players AND THERE IS A $10 TRYOUT FEE APPLICABLE WHICH COVERS ALL TRYOUTS.

Player Selection  

The tryouts will cost $10 and are used to offset the cost of offering the tryouts. The fee includes all tryout sessions.  Players interested in trying out for their respective age team are required to be registered as a Baseball Oshawa House League player and attend the Oshawa Legioniares Selects Tryouts as scheduled. (Stay tuned, posted later)   PLAYER'S MUST PLAY FULL-TIME WITH THEIR HOUSE LEAGUE TEAM IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE.

The 2019 Select fees (set at $215) required by each player will include: Full uniform - Oshawa Legionaires Selects OLMBA owned and supplied team set of Sublimated jerseys and player owned white pants, royal belt, Royal hat and there are approximately. 10 games, 10 practices, and SOBA championship entry fee TBD and or 1 tournament entry fee).

BASEBALL OSHAWA is committed to developing all our players and continues to believe that the Select program is a key part of this development environment.  BASEBALL OSHAWA continues to feel that the Select program will provide players enhanced skill development while providing a competitive and fun environment for our players.  We are looking forward to Select Baseball in 2019.

TRYOUT SCHEDULE

This year Baseball Oshawa is excited to be offering a select team at the Rookie, Mosquito, Peewee, and Bantam age groups. Tryouts are $10 per player for all players. All players must be registered for House League baseball in Oshawa prior to tryouts. 
Baseball Oshawa Select tryouts will be announced if/when a team will be fielded for the 2019 season. Please check the website for updates and coaching contact information.

Our Rookie, Mosquito and Peewee teams are looking for players for the 2019 season.
