House League volunteers are some of the most important positions in Baseball Oshawa. No previous experience is necessary; basic knowledge of the game is all you need to start. We'll help you along the way. If you're interested in volunteering for the 2020 season, please email us. 

We have several roles that need to be filled this year and every year. Below, you will see the expectations for the upcoming season.

House League Coach

• Coach your team at practice and games
• Place out equipment for home games
• Have team spirit — have fun
• Communicate with parents on game time and place of game
• Teach the basic of the game to the kids

Select Coach

• we are looking for coaches from Rookie to Bantam
• need first module for Ontario Baseball Coaching Certification
• teaching the team more about baseball at higher level
• playing at tournaments
• playing against other teams in Ontario
• representing Oshawa Legionnaires
• bring better house league players together to form select team

Convenor

• place score of each game on website for their divisions
• answer any questions or concerns from coaches and parents
• send out e-mails to coaches of your division for upcoming events also rain outs
• go to some games to see how things going
• communicate with house league director on any concerns or questions
