Baseball Oshawa players and coaches show school kids what the sport is all about

Hats off to our super Baseball Oshawa volunteers.

Today members of Baseball Oshawa had the honour to participate in Their Opportunity’s Dimes 4 Time Movement of Generosity at the Oshawa Civic Fieldhouse in February. More than 30 schools and close to 700 students attended the day where they had the chance to try out various sports, including baseball.

Our team of Coach Aaron Marshall and his son Nathan, Association vice president Jayson Deslauriers and his son Tristan, Coach Dave Marshall, who were also joined today by Tavish McMillan, Jarrod Harris and Logan Colwell as they explained, demonstrated and helped the students learn about the greatest sport in the world.

Their Opportunity exists to provide low-income families with the means to enrol their children in local sports programs. Our hope is that by alleviating the financial costs of enrolment fees, children can develop the confidence, social skills and healthy lifestyle attainable through sport. The charitable organization is based in Oshawa.
