SELECT BASEBALL WILL RETURN IN 2019

The LEGIONAIRES Select Program is an extension of Baseball Oshawa’s House League. This is a level between House League and Rep.  Select players must be registered officially with the Baseball Oshawa House League and will maintain a primary commitment to their House League teams during the season while gaining additional experience and competitive play through their Select Team’s activities.   Baseball Oshawa select baseball programs offer skilled House League players the additional opportunity to participate in competitive baseball games and Select Ontario Baseball Association (SOBA) tournament games during the season as the Oshawa Legionaires SELECTS.

 

The Select team rosters are formed after two scheduled tryouts, which will be announced and take place. The tryouts themselves are open to all Baseball Oshawa registered House League players AND THERE IS A $10 TRYOUT FEE APPLICABLE WHICH COVERS BOTH TRYOUTS.

Player Selection  

The tryouts will cost $10 and are used to offset the cost of offering the tryouts. The fee includes all tryout sessions.  Players interested in trying out for their respective age team are required to be registered as a Baseball Oshawa House League player and attend the Oshawa Legioniares Selects Tryouts as scheduled. (Stay tuned, posted later)   PLAYER'S MUST PLAY FULL-TIME WITH THEIR HOUSE LEAGUE TEAM IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE.

The 2019 Select fees (set at $215) required by each player will include: Full uniform - Oshawa Legionaires Selects Dri-fit uniform top, White Pants, Royal Belt, Royal Socks, Royal Hat, Approx. 10 games, 10 practices, and SOBA championship entry fee TBD and or 1 tournament entry fee).

HOW TO BECOME A COACH IN THE FUTURE

If you are interested in being a select coach, please contact our Select and House League director Derek Grieve.
You will also be required to fill out an application to be a coach.  If you are interested in coaching a select team, please fill out an application form and submit it to our House League Director no later than March 31 at 11:59 p.m.  Coaching applicants will be interviewed and selected by the Baseball Oshawa Coaching Selection Committee in early March.
